This is the last Will and Testament of me Leonard Umpleby of Carlsmoor in the parish of Kirby Malzeard in the county of York weaver. First I order that all my just debts and funeral expences be paid by my executor hereinafter named.

Also I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Umpleby all my household Furniture that is in the East or old end wherein I now dwell.
Also unto my Wife the last or Old End for to live in during her natural life and to my Executor to find her fuel for fire at his own expence so long as she thinks proper to live in it but no longer my said wife shall not have any power to let or dispose of it to any person or persons whatsoever
Also I give unto my said wife the Sum of Twelve pounds a year to be paid at two half yearly payments the first payment to become due six months after my decease and in case that my said wife do not chouse to accept of the house and fuel for fire as before mentioned then I give unto my said wife a further Sum of Four pounds a year to be paid as before spacefied during her natural life but still in lieu of all her thirds or dowery that she may claim from my real or personal Estates whatsoever

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Fryer the Sum of Two hundred pounds to be paid at two equal payments the first payment to become due twelve months after my decease and the other half twelve months after the decease of my Wife to be paid by my Executor to her or her heirs executors administrators or assigns

Also I give, devise and bequeath unto my Son Leonard Umpleby all my real and personal Estates to him his heirs executors administrators or assigns forever and I appoint my said Son whole and sole Executor of all my Goods and Chattels both real and personal which is not spacefied in this my last Will and which I publish and declare so to be accordingly the twenty third day of March in the year of our lord One thousand and Eight hundred and thirteen
