In the name of God amen, the twentieth day of …. in the second yeare of the reigne of …soveraigne lord King James the second by the grace of god, of England, Scotland, France and Ireland King defender of the faith in the yeare of our Lord god 1686, I Kateraine Apelbie of Beck Meetings within the county of York, spinster being sick in body but of sound and perfect memorie ………
Impr I give and bequeath unto Leonard Apellbie my Father the sume of ten shillings to be bestoed? by my executor upon cloath to make him a coate and likewise twenty shillings more to be bestowed upon his funeral when he dyes.

It I give and bequeath unto Isabell my sister one gold Angell, one silver Chaine and one paire of Linnen Sheets.

It I give and bequeath unto Jane Smyth of Ringbeck one new Camlet hood

It I give and bequeath unto Tomieson Smyth of Kirby one Broad Cloath wastcoate and one wonsey? Apron

It I give unto Tominson Dalley my warday gowne, one under petticoat, two paire of stockins and one Course Blew Apron

It I give unto Mary Ripley daughter of John Ripley of dalley, one paire of kid paragon sleves

It I give unto Ellin Braithwit my goddaughter one Callico hood and one paire of white sleeves

It I give unto An Bearper my goddaughter one other Callico hood and one paire of white sleeves

It all the rest of my goods unbequeathed after my debts paid and my funeral expences discharged, I doe give and bequeath unto Henry Apelbie my brother whom I doe make and ordaine sole and whole executor of this my last will and testament
